Endings and Beginnings

The 2024-25 school year ended for me just last week. If someone told me that I would be teaching 5th graders math and science in my early 40s, I wouldn't have believed them.

I thought that I had lived out my dream of being a teacher when I taught first grade over a decade ago. It is interesting to see how, coming back into the field of education with more life experience and after graduating my daughters from homeschooling that the desire to teach students in my community never fully died.
